Let's get crafting and create a fabulous party hat that will be the highlight of your New Year's Eve!

Materials Needed:

  • Construction Paper: Choose a vibrant color or a metallic shade for extra sparkle.

  • Tape: Any strong adhesive tape to secure the cone shape and chin strap.

  • Ribbons: Select colorful or glittery ribbons to make the hat festive.

  • Stickers: Use New Year’s or party-themed stickers for decoration.

  • Feathers: Pick colorful feathers to add flair to the top of the hat.

  • String: A piece of elastic string or a comfortable material that fits around the chin.

  • Scissors: For cutting the materials to size.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Form the Hat Base: Take a piece of construction paper and roll it into a cone shape. Adjust the size to fit your child's head. Secure the edge with tape to hold the cone shape.

  2. Decorate Your Hat: This is where you can let creativity shine! Use ribbons, stickers, and feathers to decorate the hat. You can glue the ribbons around the bottom edge and stick feathers at the top for a fun, festive look. Arrange the stickers all around the cone to add color and sparkle.

  3. Attach the Chin Strap: Cut a length of string long enough to comfortably fit under your child’s chin. Tape each end of the string inside the lower edge of the cone to create a chin strap. This will help keep the hat in place during all the New Year's festivities.
