With simple materials and easy-to-follow steps, you'll have a beautiful decoration or a thoughtful gift in no time.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Needed:

  • Small jars with lids

  • Glycerin or baby oil

  • Distilled water

  • Waterproof glue

  • Small waterproof Christmas figurines

  • Glitter

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Materials: Gather all your materials on a clean and flat workspace. Make sure the jars and figurines are clean and dry before starting.

  2. Attach the Figurines:

  • Using waterproof glue, securely attach the small Christmas figurines to the inside of the jar lid. Allow the glue to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure the figurines stay in place.

  1. Fill the Jar:

  • Fill the jar nearly to the top with distilled water. Leave a little space at the top to avoid overflow when the figurine is inserted.

  • Add a dash of glycerin or baby oil to the water. This helps the glitter float more slowly, creating a snow-like effect.

  1. Add the Glitter:

  • Sprinkle a pinch of glitter into the jar. You can choose different colors and sizes of glitter to achieve the desired effect. Be careful not to add too much glitter, as it can obscure the figurine.

  1. Seal the Jar:

  • Carefully screw the lid onto the jar with the figurine inside. Make sure it's tightly sealed to prevent leaks.

  • For added security, you can apply a layer of waterproof glue around the lid's edge before screwing it on.

  1. Shake and Enjoy:

  • Turn the jar upside down, give it a gentle shake, and watch the glitter swirl around your festive figurine. Enjoy your homemade snow globe and display it proudly!
