Follow these simple steps to make your own beautiful holiday décor.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Needed:

  • Fabric scraps in festive colors

  • Twine or ribbon

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Gather Your Materials: Collect festive fabric scraps, twine or ribbon, scissors, and a hot glue gun. Set up a clean workspace.

  2. Cut the Fabric Strips:

  • Use scissors to cut the fabric scraps into strips. Each strip should be about 1 inch wide and 6-8 inches long. Adjust the length based on your preference.

  1. Prepare the Twine or Ribbon:

  • Measure and cut a length of twine or ribbon for your garland. The length will depend on where you plan to hang the garland.

  1. Attach the Fabric Strips:

  • Take a fabric strip and tie it around the twine or ribbon, securing it with a knot. Leave a small gap between each strip.

  • Continue tying fabric strips along the entire length of the twine or ribbon, alternating colors and patterns for a festive look.

  1. Secure with Hot Glue:

  • Once all the fabric strips are tied, use a hot glue gun to secure them in place. Apply a small dab of hot glue to each knot to ensure the strips don't slide.

  1. Display Your Garland:

  • Your fabric scrap tree garland is now ready to display. Hang it on your mantle, drape it along your Christmas tree, or use it to decorate doorways and windows.
