How to Create Your Hand Painted Bunny
Prepare the Workstation : Lay out all your materials on a flat surface, ensuring a mess-friendly area for painting.
Handprint Creation : Help your child dip their hand into the paint of their choice. Press their hand firmly onto the paper or canvas to create the bunny's face.
Paint white non-toxic paint on your child's hand, but be sure to leave the thumb unpainted.
Carefully press your child's hand onto the page, encouraging them to keep their fingers pressed together. Then, gently separate their fingers to create a small gap between the middle and ring finger. Don't worry about achieving a flawless printâyou can always touch up any spots with a paintbrush.
Lift their hand and apply paint for additional handprints. If there are any areas without paint, simply touch them up with a bit more paint. Allow the handprints to dry thoroughly.
Once finished, ensure to wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Cut out the handprints, leaving a bit of color around the edges.
Paint the ears by applying a line of pink paint between the pointer and middle finger, and another between the ring and pinkie finger. Allow it to dry.
Let It Dry : Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step. This is a great time to clean up any mess and prepare for the final touches.
