ABOUT THE LESSON: Most kids love watching cartoons. Cartoons are full of imagination, silliness and stories kids relate to. In this lesson we are going to create a unique themed cartoon character. To get the creative juices flowing, we are first going to have a chat about our favourite cartoons characters and what makes them so unique. SUPERSKILLS: Imagination: This craft is all about imagination and creativity as kids are encouraged to come up with their own ideas. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Use what you have and be creative: Thick A3 or A2 paper or cardboard for the base x2 thick paper strips for the arms x2 paper cups/toilet rolls Marker/pen Scissors Stapler Wool/yarn Craft glue or glue gun Colouring supplies: sharpies, colour pencils, pastel crayons, markers Paint supplies: Watercolour paint/Tempera watercolour cakes, water in a bowl, paint brush Plate to trace the face with - check the size of the plate to fit the page
