ABOUT THE LESSON: Have you ever seen a chick hatching from an egg? They use their little beaks to peck, peck, peck their way out into the big, wide world! In this lesson, we'll create our very own adorable, fuzzy chick hiding inside its very own eggshell. SUPERSKILLS: Tactile: All of the materials used in this lesson have different textures to explore and investigate: soft, smooth, rough, hard, and even ticklish. Bilateral Function: This is the body's ability to use both sides equally while engaging in an activity, usually with the hands or feet. The children will practice this skill when using both hands to make their chicks hatch.
