ABOUT THE LESSON: In this lesson, we are going on a flying adventure! We are going to create airplanes and then fly to wonderful destinations! This activity can use different types of recycled materials you have at home or in your studio. SUPERSKILLS: Bilateral Integration: This activity will allow the children to make use of both their left and right hands throughout while cutting, coloring, and painting. They will have to hold down the body of the airplane and paint with their dominant hand, as well as hold the airplane while sticking and coloring. Free play is when a child gets the opportunity to be involved in unstructured play, which allows the development of a child’s imagination while exploring the world around them. In this lesson, the children will have the opportunity to use their newly created airplanes and fly to wonderful destinations of their own choice.
