About

ABOUT THE LESSON: The best way to learn about things is by playing and imagining. For children, imaginative play is a great way to engage with all kinds of topics and to help them build skills and develop. In this lesson, we focus on transportation by creating our own vehicles out of recycled materials. We will pretend to be driving, think about where we are going, who is going with us, and of course, what kind of vehicle we are making. SUPERSKILLS: Free-Play: Free-play is essential for all children as it plays a crucial role in their development. When children can choose what they want to do, how they want to do it, and when to stop and try something else, it helps them develop a sense of who they are. It also teaches them to value the thoughts and feelings of others. Fine Motor Coordination: We are going to create vehicles out of recycled materials, decorating them by adding doors, windows, wheels, and passengers. While decorating (sticking, gluing, drawing, and painting), we will use a variety of fine motor skills.
