ABOUT THE LESSON: Playing board games has been a popular form of entertainment for centuries. Most people enjoy playing board games and there are an endless list of benefits, for example; problem-solving, social interaction, academic skills and taking turns. In this lesson we are taking it one step further and making our own board game. This is a unique and fun way to not just play but also create. You are going to make decisions such as deciding on a theme, what actions you are going to choose, what is the goal of your game is etc. SUPERSKILLS: Critical thinking: This craft focuses a lot on thinking and making decisions to create something. By developing critical thinking in making something fun and social kids also learn to absorb new information and respond to complex problems, which is an essential skill in the 21st century.
