Mini Elf

About

ABOUT THE LESSON: Have you ever wondered how Santa knows who has been good or bad and whether they deserve a present? Could it be a little elf that hides in your house? This lesson is lots of fun as the children will make their own miniature elf that can hide in their homes and report back to Santa in the the North Pole. SUPERSKILLS: Fine-motor coordination: using the smaller muscle groups in our hands and fingers to grip by performing finger oppositions and extending and flexing our fingers during an activity. This becomes a major focus in this craft when the kids are working on finer details. Bilateral Function: the ability to make use of both the left and right side of your body whilst engaging in an activity. This will be seen when the children have to use both hands to hold and paint, staple, glue, cut and decorate their mini elf.
