ABOUT THE LESSON: Have a lolly and be jolly! Kids can talk for hours about their favorite kinds of candy. In this class, we'll dream up all sorts of yummy sweets and make our own gigantic lollipops. SUPERSKILLS: Fine-Motor Coordination: While decorating our lollipops (sticking, gluing, drawing, and painting), we will use a variety of fine-motor skills. Form Constancy: This is the ability to recognize a shape no matter the angle, environment, or context in which it is found. The children will practice this skill by identifying circles in the room, using their arms to make circles in the air, and playing a game of 'Don't Break the Circle'.
