ABOUT THE LESSON: Can you remember Newton's 3rd law? It is the law of motion. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. See if the children can come up with examples. In this lesson we are going to make a really fun Jumping Jack/ law of motion craft! SUPERSKILLS: Problem solving: Is when you identify a problem or situation and discover a plan or purpose for an object or situation. The kids will have to do a lot of problem solving in this craft while creating their Jumping Jacks. They will have to figure out how to securely connect arms, legs, fins etc. Innovation: This craft is all about innovation and creativity. Please share your class photos with the community, we would love to see what the kids come up with. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Use what you have and be creative: Balloon or 2 elastic/ rubber bands Paper towel tube or 2 toilet rolls taped together Tape or duct tape Wine bottle cork Scissors Decorations: wool, felt, cardboard, paper, pipe cleaners, foam sheets etc. Craft glue , glue stick , double sided tape , duct tape and/ or glue gun Coloring supplies: sharpies, colour pencils, pastel crayons, permanent marker, pen Paint supplies: Watercolor paint/ Tempera watercolor cakes, water in a bowl, paint brush
