ABOUT THE LESSON: For your craft example you can make an adorable Felix the Fox. Brainstorm ideas together and let the kids come up with their own animal puppet ideas. Learning about animals whilst making puppets, will spark creativity, learning, imagination and problem solving in the kids! SUPERSKILLS: Learning: Children are developing and learning new things every day and to be able to explore and engage in new subjects and topics stimulate their curiosity. Free Play: This skill comes naturally to children as they get to use their creativity and develop their imaginations. In the lesson the focus will be on using creativity and imagination to create a talking puppet and then creating a puppet show. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Use what you have and be creative: Paper plate or thick paper/thin cardboard Scrap cardboard Thick color paper/thin cardboard Duct tape/tape Scissors Craft glue/glue stick Paint supplies: Watercolor paint/Tempera watercolor cakes, Paintbrush, Water in a container Coloring supplies: sharpies, colour pencils, pastel crayons Extra Decorations: foam sheets, stickers, pipe cleaners
