Bottle Shaker

About

ABOUT THE LESSON: Children learn and play through all their senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste). Sensory play activities provide a variety of stimulation and new experiences. In this lesson, the focus is on sound, touch, and sight as the children create a colorful musical instrument with a variety of textures. SUPERSKILLS: Sensory: Our five senses are vital for understanding and exploring the world around us. We do this by touching, tasting, seeing, smelling, and hearing. In this lesson, the children will experience sensory stimulation by feeling the fabric, bubble wrap, and rice (touch), painting and decorating with colors (see), and shaking their bottles to make different sounds (hear). Auditory: This activity allows the children to listen to the sounds of their sensory objects. When finished with their craft, they will have endless fun shaking their bottles and listening to the sounds.
