ABOUT THE LESSON: Christmas time is so much fun and a precious time to celebrate being with loved ones. This craft is great as it gives the kids an opportunity to create a 3D card for someone special (a parent, grandparent, sibling, or even Santa!) SUPERSKILLS: Imagination: imagination encourages the development of social, emotional, creative, physical, lingual, and problem-solving skills in children. These are important skills to develop in childhood, as they can be good markers for understanding a child's overall development. Fine motor coordination involves using the smaller intrinsic muscles in your hands to perform or engage in an activity with controlled movements. You can never be too old to practice fine motor coordination. This lesson is loaded with detailed fine motor work: folding, cutting, gluing, and decorating your Christmas tree!
