ABOUT THE LESSON: In this lesson we are going to learn about mixed media and a really great art technique called collage. We are then going to turn an already great portrait lesson and fun pet theme (who doesn't love pets!) into a talking pet video! Combining art and technology! Through the free PhotoSpeak App we will make the eyes blink and mouth move whilst using the voice over that you/ the kids create. It only takes a few minutes to make the portrait come to life! SUPERSKILLS: Fine motor skills: Is using the smaller muscle groups in our hands and fingers to grip by performing finger oppositions and extending and flexing our fingers during an activity. This will be seen beautifully throughout the craft whilst collaging, drawing, coloring and then at the end using the App to animate the eyes and mouth of the pet. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Use what you have and be creative: Thick A3 page, or x2 A4 pages stuck together Scissors Craft glue , glue stick , double sided tape or duct tape Pencil or pen Coloring supplies: sharpies, colour pencils, pastel crayons, permanent marker Paint supplies: Watercolor paint/ Tempera watercolor cakes, water in a bowl, paint brush Décor supplies: paper, foam sheets, color paper, stickers, old magazines, news paper etc Tech: Phone or tablet and the PhotoSpeak app (details below) Rope, wool/ yarn or string
