About
ABOUT THE LESSON: This craft is called 'Happy Harmonica' because you can't help but LAUGH when you hear it! The sound that this DIY harmonica makes is hilarious, so prepare yourself for tons of fun. This is a good project for a large group as the materials are inexpensive and it is easy to make. In this craft, the kids will experiment with soft, loud, high, and low-pitched sounds. SUPERSKILLS: Social Conduct: when one interacts appropriately by using manners, eye contact, gestures, active listening, and self-expression. This skill will be developed when everyone works together to brainstorm and decide on a name for their harmonica band. They then need to choose a song to play and work together to orchestrate it. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 2 wooden popsicle/jumbo craft sticks. (Tip: don't use colored sticks as they will stain your lips after a while of playing) 2 small rubber bands 1 large/wide rubber band 1 paper straw Scissors Coloring supplies: markers, colored pencils, watercolor paint, or crayons
